I often connect to the Internet booting off Knoppix. Since I still use dial-up, I use KPPP to connect. Unfortunately, I have to retype my user name, password and other PPP settings every time because saving the configuration to floppy doesn't seem to include these settings. Is there any workaround to this? Thanks a lot. :)

there is, copy the /etc/ppp folder to your floppy, then copy it back after boot.

sudo cp -a /etc/ppp /home/knoppix/
/home/knoppix is a guess (i use my native Slackware just now) if it is wrong change it to a correct path, then reverse after reboot.
that should work ok. the folder is only 67k for me so...
a simple schript could be made to do that aswell. but that might require either hdd install or a remaster of knoppix.
EDIT if you had a larger media to make your home you could save ALL configs from the knoppix menu, but... a floppy is too small/EDIT
