ATI TV wonder pro w/remote

Any one have any luck with the currnet crop of tv wonder pro cards??? The ones based on the cx8800 module under knoppix and the remote. I know the modules exist I have not had much luck running from cd and or hdd.

Hey There.

I've got a Leadtek Winfast 2000 XP Expert. Which is based on the same chip (cx8800). I am fairly new to linux, but have managed to get my card working somewhat, that is without sound. But, anyway, the cx8800 is supported in knoppix 3.4 with the 2.6.5 kernel loaded. I think that's what you wanted to hear.

yeah I see that it is supported under 2.6 but I cannot tune any channels in xawtv... not sure what to do to configure it so that I can tune.

I think there is a configuration tool "v4lctl" and "scantv". Try running them in that order. In xawtv use the directional arrows to tune the tv and control the volume. maybe try TV time too instead of xawtv.
