KnoppixKDE (with KDE 3.1) is phenomenal - but it has some bugs (and misfeatures).
Tear-off menus appear to be a thing of the past....
KOrganizer appears to have several bugs; most memorable was the inability to delete ToDo items - there are three or four ways to do this, but only one works (delete key, I think it was).
The text-based terminal displays never get rid of the graphical "frame" - cute during bootup, annoying otherwise - and worse yet, no text is visible unless it is displayed in ANSI bold.
It was also quite surprising to find that ruby ( http://www.ruby-lang.org ) was not present, and neither was screen ( http://www.gnu.org/software/screen/ ). This combination (along with the invisible text on the virtual terminals) caused my startup scripts to fail (since they are Ruby-based) without any visible descriptions at all.
Very nice, but not ready for prime time...
PS: http://minicd.berlios.de doesn't seem to be responding... Last time I tried http://www.berlios.de it timed out too.
