So the last two releases have only been available with the purchase of a magazine. Does this mean that Knoppix has been moved behind a paywall from now on?
Check out the Cheat Codes for optional bootup switches.

With what browser? There is a known bug with audio in Firefox 52 and later, but Chrome/Chromium should work just fine.
Why would you recommend an older version that doesn't have all of the security updates of the latest version? That doesn't make much sense.
philo, I don't remember him having released any Beta's openly in the last several years so I imagine this is a final version, or as final as it's going to get. He is always refining his releases.
Oh baby. Getting it now.
Thanks for that. If he needs any testers contact me. I have lot's of free time (retired) and a lot of different computers of varying hardware specs going back to Pentium 2's to test on.
Well it's October now and no release. Is there any update on when it will be available? I think that we've been patient for several months and requesting an update is not unreasonable.
I agree. It has become evident that the original poster needs to re assess their goals. Which is more important, using Knoppix or Chrome. Since Chrome on Knoppix doesn't appear to be a viable option...
he persistence is going to be the weak link here.
First off you have to understand that if it runs code it can be hacked. That means that the myth of total security is just that, a myth. ANY system can be hacked. All you can do is make it as...
Any idea about when 7.5 will be available for download? Haven't been able to get the Magazine Edition. I know that the quick answer is when it's ready, but seriously can't we get some idea of when it...
There was a problem with the start menu command entry for KDEnlive in 7.4 that wasn't addressed in 7.41. The command in 7.4 and 7.41 is kdenlive %i -caption %c %u which won't start KDEnlive. I fired...
And in my opinion you are dead wrong. I and a LOT of other users have proven it. On average I burn 50 or more DVDs and CDs a month and aside from a verified box of defective disks I've only had 2 bad...
The ONLY time it's necessary (or even advantageous) to burn at the slowest speed possible is when you are using any combination of low quality media (think Memorwrecks and other cheap, no name...
Not quite sure what you are asking, but 394bcd5149fbbd5e86cf10c16ccaa1d3 (as listed in my OP) is the MD5 that the ISO produced and it matches the MD5 that was contained in the file that accompanied...
I had no problems watching Youtube with Firefox/Iceweasel from 7.4 without installing Flash, but I did have to disable No Script to get the HTML5 to work though. You might want to look into that if...
Duh, I already stated that I change that on LiveUSBs, but that doesn't address the actual issue which is the resource heavy Exploding Windows being selected by default. Experienced users will know...
Any idea when we will see a downloadable release of 7.3x?
I have a suggestion for the next release. While I whole heartedly endorse the use of Compiz I feel that one change would be beneficial. The exploding effect when closing windows tends to take too...
That's one of the sites that I haven't been able to get into for some reason via the Mirror Page at http://knopper.net/knoppix-mirrors/index-en.html . I don't know what the problem is, but for some...
Thanks. For some reason that site (along with several others) wouldn't open earlier today. I had tried every single one of the sites linked to on http://knopper.net/knoppix-mirrors/index-en.html...
I don't know if I'm blind or what, but I can't find a link to download 7.02. I can find lots of links to 7.01, but not 7.02. Can someone point me to a link (preferably to a Torrent but I'll take...
