Well it looks like Knoppix has indeed gone to a version that will no longer be available to the bulk of it's loyal users. Wonder if there will even be another version after the limited 8.5 run...

So the last two releases have only been available with the purchase of a magazine. Does this mean that Knoppix has been moved behind a paywall from now on?

With what browser? There is a known bug with audio in Firefox 52 and later, but Chrome/Chromium should work just fine.

philo, I don't remember him having released any Beta's openly in the last several years so I imagine this is a final version, or as final as it's going to get. He is always refining his releases.
