1) Some times it will require updates (done automatically)
2) It could do the same with the players when using my server
3) I really want it to work

It finally works!

Here's how it got fixed: Apparently, the IP I was using was also used by another customer in my ISP.

So sometimes, I suppose that the packets were sent to the other computer and then the server was lost...

So it is neither a knoppix nor a Steam server problem.
