It may also be worth noting that my PCMCIA CardBus controller doesn't work, either.
I have successfully managed to build and install a copy of Linux Kernel 2.6.4, however, when I boot from the new Kernel, I am unable to load my AC'97 internal sound card. It works perfectly on 2.4.24
Everything else works perfectly on the new kernel otherwise.

Sounds like you missed something in .config. What can you do but try again?
Nope... I added config info for both my sound controller and PCMCIA bidge, but it doesn't work.
Is there any way that I can upgrade from my 2.4.24 config?
Well yes. Just copy that .config into /usr/src/linuxOriginally Posted by chrisjrn
