Debian for a dual P1?

Will knoppix install on an old dual Pentium 1? Or is there a light weight distro I should use instead? Also, I will need a boot disk to get it to boot, because the bios will not boot from a CD. I really want to put Debian Linux on this old beast, through an easy install, cause I'm lazy

Damn Small Linux is great for old beasts like the one you describe. It may breathe some life back into the old thing. It is debian based.
