If you have booted knoppix, click the Harddisk icon (hda1) on your desktop. A konqueror browser window will open in wich you can view your windows system-files.
If you're looking for a program to scan viruses, you might consider using Linux Bit Defender wich is based on knoppix and has a build in virusscanner. Look on this website.

Knoppix doesnt come with any antivirus software?Ill be scanning the windows drive for possible adware, spyware, or trojans. If the bitdefender boots on the cd like knoppix, how can you update its virus definitions? and can bitdefender clean adwares and spywares or just virus?

Since I don't use the cd myself, I don't no but I suppose it can't. Check out the website info. I do know that they offer (as do other software vendors)on demand or on line scanning for viruses/spam on computers.

You can click on the knoppix menu and search in its sub menus for the add programs tool. One of the tools is the f-prot virus scanner. you can use this command line scanner to scan your windows system after updating the virus definitions in memory. If you have NTFS for your windows file system (go to the konsole and type the mount command... you will see ntfs or vfat next to the hda* drives) it can only read the drive and therefore only identify virus infections. This isn't a big deal... just mark down which virus programs were found and then go to a place like http://www.sarc.com and download the windows tools to clean these specific virus infections. Put them on a zip disk and then use them when you reboot into windows.

If your system is FAT32 (you will see vfat next to the hda disk from the mount command), then f-prot can scan AND clean the drive for you.
