check your /etc/fstab is the line for dev fd0 is something like this :
/dev/fd0 /floppy vfat defaults,users,noauto,showexec,umask=022 0 0
focus on vfat.
Hi.
I've just recently installed v3.4 Knoppix onto one of my HD partitions on my Dell Latitude D600 laptop and manage to successfully boot into it via a floppy boot disk. The problem is that when Knoppix is loaded(via the floppy) when i click on the floppy icon i get the error message 'mount: /dev/fd0 is not a valid block device'!! Any ideas? My disk drive is removeable..??
I created my boot disk by running Knoppix from the CD on a machine with a normal floppy disk drive. I then edited the boot config on the disk to point to my hd partition hda5 as it was referencing fd0... Could that have something to do with it?
Cheers.
