OK I've got it working
I've just bought a brand new PC, and am trying to install linux (v3.4) to HD.
I use the knoppix-installer command in the root console, and get into the installation menu.
It then says I need to partition my drive, and directs me to the partition tool.
I say yes to the option, and then get a message "unable to create partition, disk is read-only, unable to write" or something like that.
Any ideas ???
