I think it's time to do something...

are telefone numbers and email addresses. I will try to
get in contact with them...

The question is: What do we want?

- get back the german knoppix forum?
- change to the english forum?
- change to kanotix and the german kanotix forum?
- change to microsoft windows xp

I vote for getting it back - best from a backup - there's a lot of good stuff in there which I used to search regularily....

Oliver Zendel from linuxtag.org answered to me that
Klaus Knopper himself (together with Martin Oehler) is
responsible for installing the forum on the new linuxtag
server and that they didn't find the time yet to (re)activate
the forum.

Oliver Zendel also forwarded my request to Klaus Knopper
and Martin Oehler so I think it makes sense to wait a view
days. May be they reply.

Wolfgang, I also think that should be the first priority.
Nevertheless: Writing here in the english forum is a
welcome opportunity to apply my #?*+% english skills

As for myself, I would simply want to just get the old forum back with all its contents and the users we had.

Would it be possible for you to have it here? Seems to me that it should be possible to create a German language division. Of course, it's not my site, so I'm not the person to ask, but it wouldn't bother me to have it together, with a German section and an English section.

get a *clear* statement from Klaus Knopper or Martin Oehler
what their plans are related to www.linuxtag.org/forum.

Unfortunately I don't have a direct connection to Klaus Knopper
or Martin Oehler. So is here someone who has and who would
be so nice to ask them?

Irgendwo habe ich gelesen das es ca. 6800 registrierte Nutzer auf dem deutschsprachigen Forum gab. Wo sind die denn alle hin ?

Gibt es da eine gute Alternative?

Das ist doch kein Zustand, alles nach englisch und zurück kauderwelschen zu müssen. Schön das der Schock sich um Klärung bemüht ! Dran bleiben bitte und an Alle :
diesen Threat hochhalten, damit was geschieht !

Hat nicht jemand das alte deutsche Forum archiviert und könnte es, zumindest bis ein Offiziellles wieder existiert, irgendwo online stellen ?

Wäre doch wenigstens etwas.
