It's not done until Lotus won't run

The little program I installed ages ago to write ISO images doesn't work under Windows XP Service Pack 2. (It can't find the CD-R drive). A friend says he's having trouble with Nero. What can be used to write ISO images under Service Pack 2?

Having done some research, I can answer my own question. http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm indicates a new version of the ISO Recorder Power Toy will come out shortly and will run under Windows XP SP2.

Nero should run on XP SP2 if you update it: http://www.nero.com/en/nero-up.php
At least according to the release notes.

What Lotus do you mean? The Lotus Notes Client can run on Knoppix using Crossover Office from www.codeweavers.com - look for the free trial version to test it out. There is even a version (the .run) that you can install to your (persistent) home - so no need for a HD install...

It refers to the fact that somehow whenever MS updates their OS applications from other companies seem to never work right while their's still do. The saying gained popularity when MS was trying to kill off Lotus 1-2-3 among others in the early to mid 80's.
