anyone?
Just tried v3.6 it boots up fine up until it trys to startx. When it does my Delll 1800fp goes black and starts flipping between power saving mode and some DVI screen.
Any ideas
video card is FX5200 and I'm using the DVI input on the Dell 1800fp
anyone?
Try these cheatcodes in boot prompt:
linux 26 noapic noapm xmodule=nv
![]()
mind telling me what that does
linux 26 means use the 2.6 series kernelOriginally Posted by shah
noapic --I think apic has to do with support for dual cpu's; somebody correct me on this if I'm wrong
noapm --apm is advanced power management
xmodule= --specifies what video driver to use
try also 'noapci' --advanced power & configuration interface
