I don't think you need linuxonto, because linux can write to floppy fat. Mount the floppy and copy&paste.
how do i copy a file from my hard drive using linuxonto a floppy disk

no i meant is it similar to windows where i could just drag and drop a file right from the hard drive to a regularfloppy disk cause id like to copy a file
Yes you can, only after you mount that floppy
in linux you have to mount the floppy, then transfer the files and unmount floppy. little hard remembering to begin with but works well.
why? this is because you have no acess to the /mnt/fd0 (floppy) without this mounting, to remove floppy you must unmount it, and perhaps sync it(open console and type sync), otherwise it might not have been vritten to fully (should be done at unmont but...),
Your able to drag and drop on knoppix because knopix automounts it, same with cds.
the automount doesn't work well for me. no idea why.
EDIT on the other hand i wont use that much anyway so... /EDIT
