have the knoppix ver 3.3 does this contain gaim ,if not can i download it to run with this version

Go to distrowatch.com and scroll down and see if it lists gaim under Knoppix 3.3 http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=knoppix

i did what you said and 3.3 does contain gaim. i'm having trouble finding it to load it

Easiest way is to type gaim in a shell/terminal and hit enter
