Ah yes, the good old XF86Config file..............
Become root and type:
mcedit /etc/X11/XF86Config
That is where you can change resolution, screen size, color depth, etc. This is a vast subject. If you want go ahead and post your XF86Config file and we can try to get it to do what you want.

OK, I'm going to let this one drop because first, I got the cheatcodes to work....as usual, I was too fast and mistyped. But the funny thing is, I kept making the SAME mistake. Sheeesh...I'm getting old. But with a couple of little adjustments, the screen is looking really nice.
This thread is about tired out now....look for me when something blows up and I need HELP again!!!!
By the way.....do you ever sleep?

When using the driver (linux-7.0.0.zip) from broadcom (http://www.broadcom.com/support/downloaddrivers.php)

unpack the source zipfile bcm5700-7.0.0.tar.gz to you /home/knoppix
type:
tar xvzf bcm5700-7.0.0.tar.gz
type:
cd /home/knoppix/bcm5700-7.0.0/src
type:
make
type:
insmod bcm5700.o
launch netconfig from menu
