My laptop does not boot from knoppix cd

Well i downloaded the latest version of knoppix and burned it as data cd in to a blank cd. I do not want to earase my windows xp so i wanted to boot it from cd rom. When ever i try to restart it it does not load from cd rom. I changed the order of the boot to be fist from cd rom but still does not work. Did i burned incorectly? i am using hp laptop with windows xp and amd athlon processor. I be happy if some one help me out here. Thanks

You have to burn it by using the 'burn image' setting of your burn software.

This is where you can get burn cdcc for free to burn the iso image. It worked for me. I think you just have to slow the burning process down. Or do a google search for burn cdcc.
