You can open it in linux when running but you still get that error for running internally on xp so, make sure the drive is partitioned and that registry entry is changed for the dvd player for linux.

If that's true, then you must understand that linux in general doesn't have a registry like windows. Hmm, interesting, apparently, typing regedit in a console brings up wine, and it wants to edit the windows registry or something to that effect from linux. Is that what you're trying to tell us?
