You can boot in english by typing this at boot prompt: knoppix lang=us. The = sign is obtained by SHIFT+0. Then you save the configuration on a floppy.

Why save the configuration file on a floppy? Don't you just need to enter a different cheat code to tell Knoppix to use the configuration file from the floppy? It would be nice if Knoppix looked at all removable storage and decided on it's own with no cheats if there was configuration information or home directories there, but AFAIK this is not the case. Am I missing something? Other than the wink?
