Problem beim Booten von Knoppix

Hallo...

Hab mir das Knoppix runtergeladen, wollte es ausprobieren, nur leider hakts da irgendwie...

Der Bootvorgang läuft anfangs einwandfrei: Es erscheint "Uncompressing Linux, boot the Kernel" und "Welcome to Knoppix blablabla..."

Danach is aber Feierabend, denn er schreibt:
"Probing SCSI... aic7xxx.0"
... joa, und danach tut sich minutenlang nix mehr, bis ich den reset-Schalter betätige...

Kann man diese SCSI-Erkennung oder was das sein soll irgendwie ausschalten oder kennt wer sonst 'ne Lsg ?...

first boot with the CD
edit the /etc/lilo.conf THAT IS ON HD, to be specific add; append="noscsi atapicd" in a siutable palce.

#boots knoppix on hda5 2.4 kernel
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.26
label="Knoppix24"
root=/dev/hda5
initrd=/boot/initrd.img-2.4.26
append="noscsi atapicd"
read-only

then run

/sbin/lilo -C /mnt/hdXY/etc/lilo.conf

and reboot, should work.
hd XY is toi be replaced with the corect letter and number for your drive.
for ME thet vould be a and 2,

Knoppix isn't installed on my harddisk. I only want to use the cd. Therefore I dont believe, that Lilo will help me. I've tried both, the prompt "knoppix noscsi" and "knoppix nodma", but nothing has changed.
