    I agree

Great idea Andy! I would like to see a Knoppix with FPS demos, like Q3A, UT2003, etc... Or a distro set up to run full versions of some FPS's. Something like having the game materials on a USB drive and the CD set up with the scripts to run the game. I've put together a Morphix disc with Q3A demo and UT2003 demo, but I can't get the graphics acceleration needed to run the game to work on all the different PC's I've tried to run it on. My CD works great on my system with an Nvidia card, but DRI fails to load on systems with; ATI Rage, Ati Radeon, and Intel i810. Knoppix's distros seem to work on the cards, but as you have pointed out there isn't any distros made with these games on them. If someone knows where there is a knoppix distro with some FPS demos on them, let me know.

Well i searched around this forum and i am trying to put togther a version with lotts of graphics, acceleration, sound, video, gamepad, joystick... drivers and exclusively the ut2004 demo. If someone out there wants to do the same with Counterstrike, half-life, Doom III, ect. then go for it. I will keep you updated but it will take me a while cuz im a newbie when it comes to linux so if you have any pointers then drom me a line email: andyzweb@gmail.com

    Stux works great

If your looking for some FPS's try Stux! Download the game packages and install, then start shooting.
