I am runnig a home network, just two computers connected via a cable and ethernet Network cards.
Lately Network boot has been activated mistaken, gaing PXE. I have disabled this on BOTH pcs, yet PXE seems to be present still, as in my (WINDOWS XP PRO) network connections, I cannot resolve an Ip address therefore i cannot create and network connection.
What if I was to clear the CMOS, would that get rid of PXE, or is it on my network card. ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated on how to resolve this matter (either removing PXE or disabling it).
Realtek 8139 network on one pc, which at bootup allows me to disable the network boot yet pxe still there, and on other pc its Via fast ethernet adapter - in bios i can disable it.
