Is hda1 an ntfs partition? If it is there is going to be a problem with that. You'll have to use captive to write to it.
My hda1 is UNmounted, yet I still get the same message of "Opened disk read-only. You have no permission to write". I only get this when I use the prompt (CTRL+ALT+F1) but it's fine with the KDE desktop. Any idea of why? Is there some way to get around this?
