knopiix-hdinstall doesn't work anymore?!

WTF? This was my favorite feature to be able to install a full debian system. Is there any way to make this work again without having to hack my way through it? If this feature has been diasbled, why? Could it be put back in?

There's a root shell icon in knoppix programs group. worked from there.
