Running 3.7 on a Dell Inspiron 9100, 2.8GHz, 1GB RAM, dualbooting w/XP &Knoppix is mach speed
I have an Alienware Area-51m laptop, which is about 2 years old now, but hardware wise its still up to date.
My specs:
2.66 GHz P4 (Desktop Processor)
64 MB ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 M9
60 GB HDD (7200 rpm)
512 MB of RAM
Realtek AC (forgot the exact model) sound card
Works great without cheats on Knoppix 3.7 but I've lost sound on Knoppix 3.8.1. Anyone know how to fix this, like a cheat code or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Works great "out of the box" on this 2004 Dell Inspiron 5100. I had no problems at all, with the exception of my Linksys Wpc54G wireless card(and I refuse to pay $20 for the win driver conversion) not being found. Other than that, everything functions beautifully.

I burned CD and then boot from iso file on E(hda6) withou CD, just edit "boot.ini" as a lot manual says, what's need you mention is that you should download a new "initrd" file which support NTFS format (for my all NTFS partition, if FAT32, may not).
I am now trying to store configuration on my disk and make the sound card work, if anyone hnow how to, please tell my, THX!

The "initrd" file url:
