You need to have all the specs for your new card, and then do a reconfigure of the xserver
There are several ways to do a reconfigure. The way I'm most familar with is at a terminal do "dpkg-reconfigure -plow xserver-xfree86"
Good luck.
I used to be able to boot into kdm and it all worked fine. however theother week i changed my gcard.
now i can easily boot into bash, however when i type in kdm the system freezes and reboots. I think this is my graphics card because during the bootup it tells me that i still have my old gcard.
Thanks

Is this post about a hard disk install (in which case it should have been posted in the hdd install forum) or a Live CD?
