problem with cdrom in knoppix3.7

i have installed knoppix 3.7 on hdd and it goes very well but i have alittle problem when i put cd in cdrom and work on some files on it , i can't eject the cd untill i restart the system
what shall i do?

You need to unmount it before you can eject it, after making sure that there are no programs accessing it -- these can often be nothing more than Konqueror windows. Be aware that many CD drives simply won't accept the graphical eject, you have to do it manually with the buttons on the drive itself.

If all else fails (and sometimes it does with dodgy media) then either reboot and eject it as soon as possible or, you'll notice, all CD drives have a small hole in the front designed to accept a bent paper clip (no, really!) which, if inserted, will eject the CD.
