Ok, it's available from a mirror:
ftp://ftp.uni-kl.de/pub/linux/knoppi...5-04-08-EN.iso
Got it! Thanks guys!
Finally, it is happening!
OK guys, I have noticed one irritating thing. During Knoppix boot phase an error message is displayed saying that a directory to evdev.ko module does not exist. Is it normal? Can you see this message as well?
After remaster this version 3.81 no boot errors,to fix the strange fonts in installer and box dialogs
apt-get remove xfonts-artwiz
Fix for nvidia driver
apt-get install kernel-kbuild-2.6-3
rm -f /usr/src/linux
rm -rf /usr/src/linux-2.6.11
ln -s /usr/src/kernel-headers-2.6.11 /usr/src/linux
ln -s /usr/src/kernel-kbuild-2.6-3/scripts /usr/src/kernel-headers-2.6.1/scripts
Now Knoppix 3.81 works fine @ Brazilian Portuguese

I've tested Knoppix 3.8.1 and it's absolutely INCREDIBLE!. I've compiled and installed a new program (mplayer), modified KDE preferences and various apps options, added a new background...and only creating a persistent home directory and saving preferences in a 128 mb USB disk, when you reboot it detects ALL automatically! It's like having my own computer in a CD+USB drive everywhere! (That remembers me...I've to buy an 1 GB USB drive)
Thx for this FANTASTIC distro, and keep up the good work!
Does this version have support for NTFS filesystem? Somehow it seems to me that captive is not included in this version. Could anyone verify this? If there is not NTFS write support, is it enough to apt-get captive-installer-knoppix and captive-ntfs-knoppix?
Thanks
Yes, but apparetnly creating files on NTFS is still dangerous, so, as before, it's pretty much read-only support.Originally Posted by Aleu

No. The kernel is apparently not patched to support the LUFS module and there is no installation candidate available for any captive package (despite the dpkg output). If there is not NTFS write support, is it enough to apt-get captive-installer-knoppix and captive-ntfs-knoppix?
Try Kanotix instead, it's got captive installed. Or, an alternative is to install the captive package manually and use the "captive-cmdline" program
