Hi once more,
wihlie on Knoppix 3.7 (Kernel 2.4) burning CDs wans't a problem at all, I cant' get it running in Knoppix 3.8 (Kernel 2.6) any more!
The debugging says like follows:
Devices
-----------------------
PLEXTOR CD-R PX-W1210A 1.07 (/UNIONFS/dev/hdc, ) at /mnt/auto/cdrom [CD-R; CD-RW; CD-ROM] [Fehler] [SAO; TAO; RAW; SAO/R16; RAW/R96P; RAW/R96R]
System
-----------------------
K3b Version: 0.11.20
KDE Version: 3.3.2
QT Version: 3.3.3
Kernel: 2.6.11
cdrecord
-----------------------
/usr/bin/cdrecord: Warning: Running on Linux-2.6.11
/usr/bin/cdrecord: There are unsettled issues with Linux-2.5 and newer.
/usr/bin/cdrecord: If you have unexpected problems, please try Linux-2.4 or Solaris.
The prompt recommends using a lower burning speed - even if 1x is selected and asumes, that a buffer underrun has occured. (CD-rs still untouched...)
Is there a chance to boot Knoppix 3.8 with kernel 2.4 without installing the old kernel by hand?
As far as I can see in kpackage there isn't a kernel 2.4.X included anymore...
Thaks in advance for your help!
