knoopix 3.8 pentium III dual xeon--wont install

any suggestion on hd install from knoppix 3.8 on dual pentium III xeon
get cannot find file system dropping to very limited shell--cd's purchased --tried other 3.8 cd same problem installed 3.8 on other machine dual pentium 3 860 mhertz cpu's

any help
suggestions appreciated

this is not a serious problem as i am just documenting what installs and waht doesnt

Boot with the cheat code:
knoppix nodma
or
knoppix noapic

same problem

next step is tp purchase from a different venor knoppix 3.8--i understand that there may be some sort of problem depending on how fast the cd was made

alos plannig downloading and burnig a copy my self
