    Just few questions

Hello I am looking for some information about the way Knoppix boots.
Basically my question is what is mini root? searched the web but couldn't find anything as i understand minirt24.gz and minirt26.gz loads different kernels, and also the question about the floppy image which one is it which is using El -Torito standard, and where is it kept on a CD? is it in a boot/isolinux folder?
    Code:
    ----boot
        ----isolinux
                boot-en.msg
                boot.cat
                boot.msg
                f2
                f2-en
                f3
                f3-en
                german.kbd
                isolinux.bin
                isolinux.cfg
                linux24
                linux26
                logo.16
                memtest
                minirt24.gz
                minirt26.gz
And what would be proper description of this f2 f3 files?

    Thanks

    Nikolay

f2 and f3 are the help screens

They contain the text of the help screens you get when you press f2 or f3. They are in syslinux/isolinux format, which is mostly text but you can add codes for colors etc. The documentation for the format of these files is on the syslinux website.

    Thanks
Still another question left. Is isolinux acting like a boot floppy? which starts linuxrc, which at its turn loads kernel and miniroot? and finally passing control to init?
