saving settings

has anyone got an idea on hw to save settings..?


i dont get it when i restart my knoppix all my settings are changed to default?

it's a live cd. it's off of the cd.
booting from the cd, you have to tell it where your settings are, to save to/from

I can't find manual pages, but instead of hitting enter at the boot screen prompt, you enter

knoppix /wtf_is_that command ?
press F2 or F3, it's listed there somewhere
