Knoppix does run a bit better than before, although I was not hurting for memory.

Nice article. But as was mentioned in the comments, some of the tips, e.g. swapiness, are only available in 2.6+ kernels. That woud include Knoppix versions 3.8.1 and later (and Knoppix 3.7 if you booted with knoppix26)Originally Posted by sakiZ
