how do I write a script?

I'm trying to get my wireless up and running as per: the instructions at http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/answers/405.

    I came across this step:

Finally, you need to create a script, name it whatever you want, I named mine: wlan.
Add to this script the following:

    echo "Loading ndiswrapper..."
    modprobe ndiswrapper

    ....
    ...
    ..
    .

echo "Activating UP address via DHCP..."
    dhclient wlan0

Make it executable: chmod 755, then add it to your rc.local, and your set to go. Every time the computer boots up, your wireless lan should come up ready to go.
I figure I can just copy/paste the stuff the belongs in the script, but I have no idea where i should paste it!
and I also do not understand the last line

so, where do I go from here?

did youu try using the ndiswrapper script in the networking menu? ... it makes life a lot easier but to answer your question

ok a script is basically a set of instructions. So all you need to do is open up kwrite or kate (same as a notepad) type in what ever the forum says and then save it.
now you need to give it permissions to exectute so just do
    # chmod 755 filename (make sure u are in the directory where the file is)

and finally add this in your /etc/init.d/rc.local file. Do you need more help?
