ftp kept kicking me at 2956 megs =-\

if it werent for that i would of had the dvd in 4 hours =-(

i had to switch the download to the http version and its almost done now.


when i get it downloaded and on disk ill try that save and tell yall if it works.

found another http version of the DE dvd.
its split into 8 files.

ok, the myconfig command works to keep the language us.

but, it doesnt help my screen =-\.

maybe yall can help me. on the left of my screen is like a 1/4 inch size black bar.
i use xvidtune to move my screen left. but when i reboot it goes back to default.

anyway around this??

Thanks for the info re. saved configs keeping the language setting.

Are you running Knoppix on an LCD monitor (e.g. a laptop)? Do a search in the Laptop section of this board for the term "LCD" and you'll see several posts about that issue.

If they used the split command, then appropriate way to put it all back together is to use cat.
cat first.iso second.iso third.iso fourth.iso fifth.iso sixth.iso seventh.iso eighth.iso > KNOPPIX_V4.0-2005-06-08-LINUXTAG2005-DVD-DE.iso
