Say I have a poor man's install of Knoppix, complete with persistent disk image, all loaded via a GRUB entry. Every time I start it, I want Knoppix to load my persistent home with full read-write access, and I don't want to have to answer the questions in the dialog box. Is there any way to skip that dialog?
Plus an observation: In the Knoppix 4.0 Linux-Tag DVD + persistent disk image, the kicker bar crashes when I install applications. It appears that this has something to do with adding icons to the K menu. KDE itself doesn't crash, but it's pretty inconvenient to use. Restarting the kicker doesn't help, neither does going to runlevel 2 and back to runlevel 5. Then Knoppix won't cleanly unmount the image. This happens consistently.
