Kernel Panic(help)

hi

we tried to remaster the knoppix and removed the KDE instead of which we want to use some other desktop manager. well the removal was sucessfull and we got a iso image but the problem started when we tried to boot from the ISO. as soon as the init process started we got this error "Kernet Panic --- Sending Kill Signal to init".

please help me

What version of Knoppix?
Have you sucessfully remastered before?
Did you remaster by hand or use a remastering script?

well we tried to remaster 3.8.2, yeah we did it for the first time but we used some turtorial online. we first tried a script which always gets halt on 70% on all the versions i have so we did it manually.

I got some notes that I took for remastering 3.8.2 Basically, they are a series of three trivial remasters that successively are more complex. They are "trivial" in that there's no adding or removing of anything. I use them as "positive controls" just to make sure that the system I'm on can handle remastering. And I use it as a way to troubleshoot remastering problems.

So, try one of those and let us know if you are able to remaster any of those "trivial" versions.
