Booting from Disk

my laptop will not boot from the knoppix disk what are some settings i can change to be able to boot from the disk?

I CAN NOT access the BIOS at all what else should i do?

Why not? What have you tried? What make and model laptop are you using? What version of knoppix are you using? What search terms have you used with Google?
