    Morphix 0.3-5 released!

Well, even though i'm only around here every now and then i'll plug my derivative's release anyway. Just want to thank you guys for all the advice, testing and ranting you did, without you Morphix simply wouldn't exist Dammit, getting all mushy...

    Cheers,
    Alex

    www.morphix.org

https://sourceforge.net/project/show...group_id=71814 for downloads (slow mirror, dl.xs4all.nl will allow me back on soon...)

    Most important changes:
X resolution fixed, bootoptions honored, preliminary alsa support, nvidia install, scsi install (still a work in progress, working on it). Changelog follows, have fun!

23-04-2003 (version 0.3-5 base, all mainmodules)
    "The slightly-less-borked release"
Focus was on fixing a number of annoying bugs, no serious features
    have been added
    base:
    - X resolution bug turned back. Nice try, no cigar
    - added nvidia devicenodes, should fix installing with nvidia
cards. Also fixed the /dev/zero problem, thanks Luuk!
    - translucency slightly updated, dpkg'ing debian packages works
    on-the-fly
    - preliminary alsa support added, "morphix alsa" and "morphix
alsa=alsa-module" bootoptions. Needs testing & debugging

    all mainmods:
    - new installer, fixes critical bug, installing with scsi drives
will work, however having a scsi drive as root won't work as of
    yet.
    - gaim plugin's loaded on default
    light:
    - added dillo
    kde:
    - added K3B
    - modified the iconset... again
    heavy:
    - new gtk2 theme
    game:
    - pingus 0.6!

And a lot of stuff I forgot...

Great stuff, keep it coming! BTW, when downloading MOPHIXgame3-5.iso I get this link from www.morphix.org

    http://morphix.sourceforge.net/modul...wcat.php?cid=5

and it says that there's 0 bytes there.

    I then used

    https://sourceforge.net/project/show...group_id=71814

and got a pile of mirrors from which to download this iso from which I'm downloading now.

    New Morphix

Just wondering if you happened to throw some Winmodem drivers into this release?

    winmodems

Nope, as far as i understood winmodem-drivers aren't available to be freely distributed. The reason why nvidia is in there is because they allow it to be freely distributed. I'm willing to go far, but i wasn't planning on breaking licences
