running a sipmle program! PLZ help NOOB

OK just got my first every introduction to LINUX..... and i have never used it before. I cannot figure out how to even run a program.. i tried commands like run /mnt/hdb1/Program Files/Steam/.Steam.exe trying to run STEAM. Can anyone give me some tips on how to get programs to run....


ps i also typed find in the command promt and there was a large list. but none of the files were steam.exe thanks for all your help

Start with existing programs, those in K start menu and learn, read a bit. I don't know Steam, but generaly, you can't run *.exe programs in Linux.
