OK, it's only 2:51 AM, but this post wins my vote for the most uninformative, fact less, useless post of the day for someone who actually seems to want some help.
Have you tried the site physicmindreadingtechnicians.com ?

Verifying of md5 checksum and burning a CD at slow speed are important.
lol sorry, yeah its late and im tired... What info do you need for some help on gettin me internet on knoppix?
well....you could try these magical things called search engines...
Well you told us what brand router, but that's not the most important information and if at all important it's not enough information. In looking at the problem I would first ask, since you do state it is a wireless router, are you trying to connect wirelessly or wired with an ethernet cable?Originally Posted by SlashX1896
If you are trying to connect by a wired connection:
- Have you tried the same hardware configuration with Windows? Does that work?
What is the make and model of the NIC? Is it built into the main board, a PCI add-in card, or something else?
What happens when you try to do a netcardconfig? What is the output of the ifconfig command?
Is DHCP enabled in your router? Anything else we should know about, like a router setting that only allows certain MAC addresses?
If you are trying to connect wirelessly:
- Have you read the wireless networking section in the wiki?
What make and model (and firmware version) is the wireless network interface? This is far more important than the make of the router.
Is the wireless network interface built-in, PCI, PCICMA (aka PC card), or one of those useless USB things?
Does Knoppix seem to see the Interface as it boots? If so, have you set the SSID, security information, and such?
Have you tried using a wired connection?
That's PCMCIA. ^_^Originally Posted by Harry Kuhman
