Im guessing that from no replies this isnt gonna work?
Does anyone have any ideas how this setup may work?
Cheers, Dave
Hi I wish to use knoppix without the need of a hard drive but be able to save my files.
My question is can i boot knoppix into ram from a cd-r (i have 1gb ram installed) and then swap this cd for a cd-rw to allow me to save/edit/etc my files and user settings/prefs?
Can i mount this second cd as a sort of UDF filesystem and use it like a hard drive? Or can i only simply use it as a multisession cd-rw allowing me to add extra sessions at shutdown?
Would it be easy to automate all of this?
I realise Puppy has the option to use the same cd but i want to use knoppix and have had problems using puppy on my cd burner.
Many thanks, Dave
