Knoppix mounts all external filesystems read only by default. This is a security feature.
Once you have mounted the drive, right click the icon again, choose "Actions" then "Change Mount Mode" to read/write.
hi everyone
whenever i copy and try to move the SYSTEM file you get from c:\WINDOWS\system32\config and try to move it into my USB drive it gives me this error message saying tat it cannot wite to somewhere, when i try to move it into a diferent harddrive, it says that i cannot drop items because i do not have enough permission, any tips on how to get these things to work????????????????????????????????????

Also, if it's on a NTFS system then you absolutely must not write to that file system. Don't move it, copy it.
