possible windows-side utility: knoppix iso copy

I really liked the tohd= cheatcode but in the age of NTFS it don't quite work anymore so how about a windows-side utility to put a copy of the ISO on the hard drive, figure out somehow what disk/partition its on (some newer pc's have a diag partition on hda1 and the boot drive is hda2) and display the cheatcode for the user. other options could be:
Get the version number and name it the same as the original it was released under.
Ask if you want to connect to the internet to get the md5sum and perform an integrity check.
Suggest a shortened filename (K*.iso) but tell them that it may change if files are added to that location.
Still display the same info if they re-run the command (in case they forgot the cheatcode or want to re-check md5)

Unlike the "tohd" knoppix folder, this has the added benefit of having the .iso file around to make more copies of or seed as a torrent.

Something else I thought of: if knoppix knows what version it is when it is booting, then can't we just have it auto-find the .iso? maybe put a "knoppix-isoname" text file on the cd and have a cheatcode "isoboot" or "bootfrom=scan" or just "bootfrom" only with no "=" to find itself.

    Hello,
Did you already search the forum ? Not sure that is exactly what you are looking for,
but boot from the iso on a ntfs/xp partition is already done. Have a look in here:
    http://www.knoppix.net/forum/viewtop...=asc&start=370
    http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Win_Partition
FYI, the modified minirt_usb[4,5].gz will automatically search for the iso in an other device
in the case of a wrong partition/disk is used in the bootfrom= cheatcode and once found,
will strongly suggest the user to update the kernel command line with the proposed cheatcode.
    Cheers,
    Gilles
