Modem not detected
Hi
Linux or knoppix does not detect my modem on my notebook Compaq nx 6110 , Modem : Agere Systems AC97
what might be the problem?
Where do I go in knoppix to set up my dial-up connection with my modem?

There is no problem, this is normal. Linux distributions do not detect winmodems (softmodems). There are some distributions that can do this, for some winmodems, but not all of them - Mepis, Kanotix... Normaly you need a driver and you must install it manualy.
