    no vs. computer with knoppix chess?

    yesterday i was fiddling around and i came across xboard and when i opened it up i could only play chess against myself and not the computer...needless to say i won :P but why do u suppose the comp doesnt want to face me in mortal combat? lol

    I just tested this in Knoppix 4.0.2 CD, and if you start xboard from KMenu, you can only play against yourself, but if you start it from Konsole, you can play against computer.

    So start Konsole (one of the icons on the bottom of the screen), write "xboard" and press Enter.

    broken pipe

    hmmm....now when i play it after the first 2 moves or so it says xboard: Error writing to first chess program: Broken pipe

    whats up?
