Root Password??????

Hey,

Grateful if someone good give/point me in the right direction of finding out the root password for the Live CD 5.01.

There is no root password, however, you can start a root shell and do anything there. You can also set the root password there if you want. Knoppix defaults to the user knoppix, with no passwords enabled, to protect the user from theirself. You can also use sudo to do anything requiring root access.

It was when I tried to configure the wireless network I was prompted for the root password.

You can also set the root password, by starting the root shell and typing passwd.
