My Knoppix is in German

I'm new to these kind of stuff. My Knoppix is in German when the live CD is run, do I have to download an English version ? Thanks.

there are quite a few places where 'obvious' defaults, of the current installation, aren't set.
and the programs language defaults to the first item in the selectable drop down list of available languages.

last version it was some other strange language.
ver 5 it's something german that starts with a, oh dear

we need a sticky so ppl can post every place they've changed the langugage settings and for which program they did it for
