    Gamers for Linux petition

I came across this petition and encourage all gamers and Linux users to sign it. Maybe with enough support we can change the minds of game developers to include native Linux support for games. Even if you are not a gamer, keep in mind that support for commercial games in Linux is a big barrier for adoption by many users. Your support is also welcome.

Unfortuantly, i doubt people will listen, Due to the complexity of installing for the short attention-spanned 13 year olds that buy the games and the fact it would take a lot of work converting to Linux, Making a simpiler version to install, and the factor of how much will be earned in the end, I dont think it will happen

Your best bet atm (Which is actually a good one if you actually want to play games in the first place) Is to use a emulation such as Cedega, Wine tools, or other programs to run the game.

For Knoppix i believe Cedega is best, go to your hard drive and let it read your games in windows installed.

With easy Live CD/DVD's like Games Knoppix and - even easier I think - the Linux-gamers.net Live DVD (http://live.linux-gamers.net) it won't be so hard for beginning Linux-users to start a game. The games are pre-installed on the disk, just boot the disk and click a game.
But if there'll come more commercial games, people will have to install them, that's indeed harder. The game companies have to make easy installers then.
